You can use 4SOUND MODE to enable and disable the
effects descri bed below.
●Hall Simulator
The hall simulator effect s imulates the rich clarity,
unconstrained brilliance, and other distinctive acoustic
characteristics of world-famous concert halls and structure s.
You can also adjust t he depth of the hal l simulator eff ect.
●Surround
The Surround effect creates acoustics th at make the so und
from the speake rs seem like it is coming from multiple
directions (virtual surround).
NOTE
• The Surround eff ect is not applied to the output from the
Digital Piano’s 9PHONES jack or bo LINE OUT R ,
L/MONO jacks.
■To enable or disable the Hall Simulator and
Surround effects
1.
Touch 4SOUND MOD E .
• Each touch will cycle between the settings, and the
current setting is in dicated by the LED lig hts as
shown below.
■To specify the Hall Simulator type
1.
While holding do wn 4SOUND MODE , press a
keyboard key from A0 through C1.
2.
Release 4SOUND MODE .
■To speci fy the Su rround type
1.
While holding down 4SOUND MODE , press the
F1 (Surround Type 1) or F{ 1 (Surround Type 2)
keyboard key.

Release 4SOUND MODE .
You can split the keyb oard in the cen ter for due t play so t he
left and right sides h ave the same ranges.
The Duet Mode is the perfect way to conduct lessons, with
the teacher playing o n the left sid e as the student plays the
same song on the right side.
■Pedal Operation w hen Playing a Duet
• If you are using t he separately ava ilable SP-34 Pedal
Unit, the left o uter pedal is the left keyb oard damper
pedal, while the right outer pedal i s the right keyboard
damper pedal. Only t he damper pedal for the right
keyboard supports half -pedal operations.
• To use the supplied SP-3 Pedal as a da mper pedal that
affects both the left keyboard and right keyboard, connect
it to the bm DAMPER PEDAL jack. Half-pedal operation
is not supported in t his case.

■To use the Duet Mode
• For the location of the keyboard key used to configure the
setting below, see the “FUNCTION Button + Keyboard
Key” entry of the “Keyboard Functio n List”.
1.
While holding d own 3FUNC TION , press the C6
keyboard key.
Each time the C6 keyboar d key is pressed to chan ge
this setting, a notification to ne sounds to indicate the
newly selected setting.
2.
After the setting is the way you want, release
3FUNCTION.
The Digital Piano comes wit h a Music Library of well-known
piano pieces y ou can play back for your listening enjoyment.
You can also t urn off the lef t-hand part or right-hand p art of
a built-in song and play along on the keyboard.
■To listen to Music Library song s
1.
While holding d own 6a , press one of the
keyboard keys below to select the song you w ant.
• For informati on about the relationship bet ween
keyboard keys, song numbers, and song t itles, see
the “Music Library List”.
2.
After selecting a song, release 6a .
3.
To start song playback, touch 6a .
• Playback will stop automatically when the end of t he
song is reach ed. To stop song playback, touch
6a.
■To select a playback part and play a song
1.
Perform steps 1 and 2 under “To listen to Music
Library songs” to select the song you want to
practice.
2.
As required, perform the procedure under
“Specifying the Tempo” to specify the temp o of the
song.
3.
Select the playback par t (left-hand or r ight-hand
part).
(1) While holding down 6a, press k eyboard key A0
(leftmost white key).
Each pres s of the A 0 keyboard key cycles through
the settings shown below.
L only lit: Left- hand part played, r ight-hand part
muted.
R only lit: Right -hand part played, l eft-hand part
muted.
LR both lit: Both left- and right -hand parts played.
(2) Release 6a .

To start song play back, touch 6a .
• Play the muted part along with the pla yback.
Your Digital Piano can record what you p lay on the
keyboard and play it b ack when you want.

parties arising from the deletion of recorded data due
to malfunction, repair, or for any other reason.
• Should power fail during recording, all of the data in
the track you ar e recording will b e deleted.
NOTE
• The Digital Piano’s M IDI recorder can record the left hand
track and right han d track individually, and then the two
tracks can be combined into a single song. Here we will
present a simple opera tion that records the left-hand part
track only. For detail s about the recording operation, refer
to the User’s Guide that is available on t he CASIO
website.
• Up to approximat ely 10,000 notes (total of two tracks) can
be recorded for a single song.
• Select MIDI for the song type. While hol ding down
3FUNCTION , press the F6 keyboard key.

Recording and Playing Back
Performances (MIDI Recorder)
1.
Touch 70 (REC) so it lights white.
This enters reco rd standby, which is indicated by
flashing 7 0 (REC) (red) an d 6a (white) lights.
2.
To start recording, play so mething on the keyboard.
This causes the 70 (REC) (red) light to change from
flashing to lit, which indicates tha t recording is in
progress.
• If, during a recording operation, t he number of
remaining recordable notes is 100 or fe wer, the L
indicator will start to flash more quickly. Recording
stops automatically when the number of remai ning
recordable notes becomes 0.
3.
When you are finished recording, touch 70 ( R E C )
or 6a .
This makes 70 (REC) light white again.
4.
To replay the rec ording, touch 6a .

While holding down 6a , press the B} 7
keyboard key.
2.
Release 6a .

To start playback, touch 6a .
• Playback wil l stop automatically when the end of the
recording is rea ched. To stop playback manually,
touch 6a .

User Maint enance
• Wipe the product with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use a
tissue, which can cause scra tching.
• When soiling is more seriou s, moisten a soft cloth with a
weak solution of water a nd a mild neutral detergen t, wring
out all excess moisture f rom the cloth, and then wipe the
product. After tha t, wipe again wit h a separate soft dry
cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning ag ents, chlorine disinf ectants,
sanitizing wipes, or other items that include benzene,
organic solvents, alcohol, or other solvents for clea ning.
Doing so can cause discolor ation, defo rmation, paint
peeling, cracking, etc.
Sterilization and Disinfection
• After wiping the product two or three ti mes with a non-
alcohol saniti zing wipe, use a soft , dry cloth to wipe it dry.
• Note that failure to wipe the product dry can cause
streaks to remain.
• If the product is u sed by multipl e parties, hand
disinfection be fore each use is recommended.
Included and Optional Accesso ries
Use only accessories that a re specified fo r use with this
product. Use of unauthorized accessories c reates the risk of
fire, electric s hock, and personal in jury.
Weld Lines
Lines may be visi ble on the exterior of the product. T hese
are “weld lines ” that result fr om the plastic m olding proce ss.
They are n ot crack s or scrat ches.
Musical Instrument Etiquette
Always be aware of others around you whenever using this
product. Be especiall y careful when p laying late at night to
keep the volume at levels that do not disturb oth ers. Other
steps you can take when playing late at night are closing the
window and using headphones.
AC Adaptor Handling Precau tions
• Never insert metal, pencils, or any othe r objects into the
product’s DC12V terminal. Doing so creates the risk of
accident.
• Do not tr y to use t he power cord tha t comes with the
product with anoth er device.
• Use a power outlet that is easily accessibl e so you can
unplug the AC ada ptor when a malfunction occurs or
whenever else you need t o do so.
• The AC adaptor is intended for indoor use only. Do not
use it where it might be exposed to splashing or moi sture.
Do not place any containe r, such as a flower vase, that
contains liquid on t he AC adaptor.
• Never cover the AC adap tor with newspaper, a table
cloth, a curtai n, or any other similar item.
• Unplug the AC adaptor from the power outlet if you do not
plan to use the Digital Piano for a long time.
• The AC adaptor cannot be repaired. If your AC a daptor
malfunctions or be comes damaged, you need to
