Memory card is full
- The memory card is full. Delete some recordings (0 54, 100) to free some space or replace
the memory card.
Memory card is write-protected
- The LOCK switch on the memory card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the posi-
tion of the LOCK switch.
Need to recover files from the memory card. Change the position of the LOCK switch on the
memory card.
- This message will appear the next time you turn on the camcorder if power supply was acci-
dentally interrupted while the camcorder was writing on the memory card and later the posi-
tion of the card's LOCK switch was changed to prevent erasure. Change the position of the
LOCK switch.
No memory card
- Insert a compatible memory card into the camcorder (0 35).
- The memory card may not be inserted correctly. Insert the memory card all the way into the
memory card slot until it clicks.
No photos
- There are no photos to play back. Have fun taking some photos (0 40, 56).
No scenes
- There are no scenes in the memory selected. Have fun shooting some video (0 40).
Not enough available space
- Delete some recordings on the memory card (0 54, 100) or select the [3 Mbps] bit rate for
the conversion to SD.
Number of scenes already at maximum
- The maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes) has been reached. Delete some scenes
(0 54) to free some space.
- A story can contain a maximum of 999 scenes.
Number of stories already at maximum
- A memory can contain a maximum of 98 stories (not including [Unsorted] and [Video Snap-
shot]). Delete some stories (0 84) or select a different memory that contains less than 98
stories.
Scene recorded using another device. Cannot divide the scene.
- Scenes recorded using another device cannot be divided with this camcorder.
Select the desired scene number
- A number of scenes have the same recording date but different file control information. This
can occur for example when you edit photos and write the files back to the camcorder. Select
a number to display the corresponding group of scenes.
