Ring Delay The number of rings before the MFC answers in FAX
mode.
Ring Volume Volume setting for the MFC’s ring.
Scanning The process of sending an electronic image of an original
paper document into your computer.
Scan to Card You can scan a black and white or colour original into
a Media Card. Black and white images will be in TIFF file format
and colour images may be in PDF or JPEG file format.
Search An electronic, alphabetical listing of stored Speed Dial and
Group numbers.
Speed Dial A preprogrammed number for easy dialing. You must
press the
Search/Speed Dial
key and then
#
, two digit code to
start the dialing process.
Standard resolution 97 x 203 dpi. It is used for regular size text
and quickest transmission.
Station ID The stored information that appears on the top of faxed
pages. It includes the sender’s name and fax number.
Super fine resolution 392 x 203 dpi. Best for very small print and
line art.
TAD (telephone answering device) You can connect an external
TAD to the EXT. jack of the MFC or on the line jack unit.
Temporary Settings You can select certain options for each fax
transmission without changing the default settings.
Tone A form of dialing on the telephone line used for Touch Tone
telephones.
Transmission The process of sending documents over the phone
lines from your MFC to the receiving fax machine.
Transmission Verification Report A listing of each transmission,
that shows its date, time and number.
User Settings A printed report that shows the current settings of
your MFC.
