Belangrijk: Lees deze gebruiksaanwijzing goed door, voor het in gebruik nemen
van de PowerSupport. Het betreft hier een aanvulling op de gebruikshandleiding
van de IBIS
Algemene veiligheidsvoorschriften en -instructies

1 Algemene veiligheidsvoorschriften en -instructies
De fabrikant aanvaardt geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor schade of letsel
veroorzaakt door het niet (strikt) naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften en -instructies,
dan wel door onachtzaamheid tijdens het gebruik en het schoonmaken van de
PowerSupport module.
Afhankelijk van de specifieke werkomstandigheden kunnen aanvullende
veiligheidsinstructies nodig zijn. Neem s.v.p. direct contact op met uw dealer indien u
bij het gebruik van het product een potentieel gevaar hebt geconstateerd.
• Om ongelukken en ongewenste situaties te voorkomen, is het van groot
belang om notitie te nemen van de veiligheidsinstructies zoals beschreven in
de Gebruikshandleiding handbewogen rolstoelen van Sunrise Medical.
• De PowerSupport is niet te gebruiken boven een gebruikersgewicht van 125
kg. Testen zijn uitgevoerd met dit gebruikersgewicht.
• Bij het laden wordt dringend geadviseerd om een lader te gebruiken die
voldoet aan de specificaties op pagina 10 van deze handleiding.
• Als de rolstoel niet in gebruik is, wordt geadviseerd om de acculader op het
PowerSupport systeem aan te sluiten. Dus liefst iedere nacht opladen.
• Gebruik de PowerSupport niet op hellingen met een hellingshoek die groter is
dan 6 graden.
• Bij een gebruikersgewicht boven de 100kg remt de rolstoel bij het afrijden van
een helling niet of nauwelijks af.
• Gebruik bij het parkeren van de PowerSupport altijd de parkeerrem. Sluit op
de PowerSupport geen andere apparaten aan.
• Open nooit de accubehuizing.
• Reinig de PowerSupport nooit met tuinslang of hogedrukreiniger. Neem de
PowerSupport af met een vochtige doek.
• Let op bij het (de-)blokkeren van de parkeerrem. De bewegende delen van de
remconstructie kunnen mogelijk beknellinggevaar opleveren.
• De PowerSupport is geschikt voor binnen en buiten gebruik
• (EN 12184 (1999) klasse B). Het rijden door diepe plassen wordt niet als
normaal gebruik gezien en kan schade veroorzaken aan de motoren.
Onderdelenlijst, elektrische schema’s en uitgebreide reparatie instructies zijn op
aanvraag beschikbaar.

2 Gebruik
2.1 Bedieningseenheid
Aan/Uit
indicator:
Groen indicatielampje wat constant brand zodra de PowerSupport actief is. Bij een
algemene foutindicatie zal dit lampje branden.
Activeringshendel:
Schakelaar (aan/uit) waarmee de ondersteuning
wordt ingeschakeld.
Keuzeschakelaar:
Draaiknop op de bedieningseenheid waarmee het geleverde vermogen wordt ingesteld.
Hiermee kan het looptempo ingesteld worden. De draaiknop kent zeven vaste standen:
achteruit (R), neutraal (uit-stand), en de vijf standen vooruit (1 - 5).
Accu
Indicator:
Lampjes waarmee de status van de accu wordt weer- gegeven. De accu indicatie
bestaat uit 5 lampjes (rood: 20%, oranje: 40%, groen: 60, 80 en 100% lading). Wanneer
de PowerSupport actief is of zich in de laadtoestand bevindt, is de accu indicatie
zichtbaar. Als de lading onder de 40% komt wordt u geadviseerd de accu op te laden.

Gebruik

2.2 Laden
De PowerSupport mag op ieder moment opgeladen worden. Het laden mag tevens op
ieder moment onderbroken worden.
Zodra de lader met de PowerSupport verbonden wordt, geeft de accu indicator de staat
van de accu aan. Tijdens het laden is de PowerSupport beveiligd en is het niet mogelijk
te rijden met ondersteuning van de PowerSupport.
Tijdens het laden knippert een van de accu indicatie lampjes. Het niveau van de
acculading is te herkennen aan het aantal lampjes dat continu brandt. Zodra de accu
volledig opgeladen is blijven alle accu-indicator lampjes branden.
1. Plaats het netsnoer van de acculader in het stopcontact.
2. Verwijder het afdekkapje van het chassisdeel op het accupack
3. Plaats de vierpolige laadplug van de acculader in het chassisdeel van het accupack
totdat u een duidelijk ‘klik’ hoort.
4. Controleer bij aanvang van het laden of een accu indicator lampje van de
bedieningseenheid knippert. Dit geeft aan dat de accu daadwerkelijk opgeladen
wordt.
5. Controleer na afloop van het laden of de accu indicator lampjes van de
bedieningseenheid continu branden. Dit geeft aan dat de accu daadwerkelijk
opgeladen is.
6. Druk eerst de ontgrendelpaal in en trek daarna de laadplug van de acculader uit het
accupack. Let op: de laadplug kan niet uit het accupack getrokken worden als de
ontgrendelpaal niet ingedrukt is. Dit kan schade opleveren aan de elektronica.
7. Plaats het afdekkapje van het chassisdeel (accupack) terug.
8. De PowerSupport is klaar voor gebruik.
Het is aan te bevelen om een rookmelder op de oplaadplek te monteren.
Koppel de batterijen af in geval van een langere opslag zonder gebruik.

2.3 Parkeren
Indien de PowerSupport niet gebruikt wordt, plaats de keuze schakelaar dan in de
neutraalstand (uit) en zet de Ibis rolstoel op de parkeerrem. Indien de PowerSupport
gebruikt wordt, ontgrendel dan de parkeerrem.
Let op bij het (de-)blokkeren van de parkeerrem. De bewegende delen van de
remconstructie kunnen mogelijk beknellinggevaar opleveren.
2.4 Rijden met ondersteuning
Zet de keuzeschakelaar in de gewenste rijstand (R, voor achteruit of stand 1-5 voor
vooruit). Kies hierbij een vermogen dat past bij de gewenste loopsnelheid. Houd hierbij
rekening met de ondergrond. Een glad vloeroppervlak vereist minder ondersteuning
dan een helling of stroeve ondergrond, zoals tapijt.
Plaats de keuzeschakelaar in de neutraalstand indien de IBIS verplaatst moet worden
zonder ondersteuning (stand 0).
2.5 Remmen
Bij rijden met ondersteuning zal bij het loslaten van de activeringshendel de
PowerSupport de rolstoel actief afremmen.
Bij rijden met ondersteuning (keuzeschakelaar in stand 1-5, activeringshendel niet
ingedrukt) zal de motor automatisch gaan remmen indien de snelheid boven de 3 km/u
komt.
Bij rijden met ondersteuning (keuzeschakelaar in stand 1-5, activeringshendel niet
ingedrukt) zal de motor automatisch gaan remmen als de rolstoel achteruit rijdt. Dit is
zo ingeregeld om de veiligheid op
een helling te vergroten.
2.6 Uitschakelen PowerSupport
De PowerSupport heeft geen aparte aan/uit toets. De PowerSupport gaat vanzelf uit
als deze een tijdlang niet gebruikt is (5 minuten in stand R of 1-5). In stand 0, de
neutraalstand, gaat de PowerSupport direct uit. Zodra de activeringshendel ingeduwd
wordt, of de keuzeschakelaar verdraaid wordt, wordt de PowerSupport actief.
2.7 Bocht nemen (tip)
Houd de activeringshendel gewoon ingedrukt terwijl u een bocht neemt. Als u de
activeringshendel loslaat, remt de rolstoel actief af, waardoor het nemen van een bocht
moeilijker gaat.
2.8 Helling
Rijdt met ondersteuning van PowerSupport alleen op hellingen waar u bekend mee
bent. Hellingen die steiler zijn dan 6 graden zijn niet geschikt voor het rijden met
ondersteuning van de PowerSupport.

De 3 hoogste standen zijn geschikt voor het rijden met ondersteuning van de
PowerSupport op een helling.
Helling op
• Ga voor de helling stil staan.
• Plaats voor het oprijden van de helling, de keuzeschakelaar in de stand die voldoende
ondersteuning geeft (bij voorkeur stand 4 of 5).
• Schakel zonodig een standje hoger als u onderweg merkt dat de gekozen stand niet
genoeg ondersteuning biedt.
• Vermijd de neutraal- (“uitstand”) en achteruitstand (R). In deze standen is de rolstoel
niet geremd en moet de begeleider het volle gewicht opvangen.
Helling af
• Ga voor de helling stil staan.
• Plaats voor het afrijden van de helling, de keuzeschakelaar in de ondersteuning
vooruit stand (1-5). Gebruik de activeringshendel niet, maar duw de rolstoel op eigen
kracht berg af. De motoren zullen licht bijremmen als de snelheid boven de 3 km/u
komt.
• Vermijd de neutraal-(“uitstand”) en achteruitstand (R). In deze standen is de rolstoel
niet geremd en moet de begeleider het volle gewicht tegenhouden.
Let op: Bij een gebruikersgewicht boven de 100kg remt de rolstoel niet of
nauwelijks af.
2.9 Drempels
De PowerSupport is geschikt voor drempels tot 4 cm hoog. Rijd eerst voorzichtig met
de voorwielen op de drempel. Schakel de PowerSupport naar stand 4 of 5. Neem dan
een kort aanloopje (15 cm) om de drempel op te rijden. Pas goed op dat de rolstoel niet
doorschiet na het nemen van de drempel.

• Voor reparatiewerkzaamheden dient u contact op te nemen met uw dealer. Voor de
dealer is een servicehandleiding verkrijgbaar.
• Reinig de PowerSupport nooit met tuinslang of hogedrukreiniger. Neem de
PowerSupport af met een vochtige doek, eventueel met wat zachte zeep opgelost in
het water.
• Let op: Bij een storing wordt er niet geremd door het PowerSupport systeem.
Dit kan op een helling voor gevaarlijke situaties zorgen, omdat de begeleider
het volle gewicht van rolstoel en berijder moet tegenhouden. Plaats daarom
de rolstoel bij het constateren van een storing direct op de parkeerrem.
• In geval van storing zal de Aan/Uit indicator gaan knipperen. Dit is een algemene
foutindicatie.
• Actie: Controleer of er een motor kabel los zit. Maak eventueel de stekkerverbinding
van de motor weer vast. Waarschuw in ieder ander geval de service monteur.
• Indien er geen enkel lampje/ indicator op het bedieningseenheid oplicht:
Actie 1: Controleer of de kabel van de bedieningseenheid los zit bij de
stekkerverbinding met het accupack.
Actie 2: Sluit de acculader aan, til de rolstoel op en draai voorzichtig aan 1 van de
wielen. De PowerSupport moet nu beginnen te laden. Waarschuw in ieder ander
geval de service monteur.
• Indien de accu indicator lampjes knipperen of continu branden, is de PowerSupport
vermoedelijk nog aan het laden. Verwijder dan de stekker van de acculader. De
PowerSupport is klaar voor gebruik.
• In geval van een lekke band dient de servicemonteur te worden gewaarschuwd.
Doorrijden kan leiden tot beschadiging van de wielen.

5 Garantie en aansprakelijkheid
De PowerSupport is door TNO met positief resultaat getest conform de van toepassing
zijnde eisen van de Europese rolstoelnorm EN 12184 (1999) klasse B.
Voor de IBIS met PowerSupport zijn de garantiebepalingen en
aansprakelijkheidsbepalingen van kracht zoals beschreven in de gebruikershandleiding
van de IBIS.
Voor de PowerSupport module geldt in afwijking van bovenstaande regel:
Op de accu is een garantie van 2 jaar van toepassing, onder de volgende
voorwaarden:
• Gebruik de IBIS met PowerSupport conform de aanwijzingen in deze
gebruikershandleiding.
• Open nooit de accubehuizing.
• Gebruik de IBIS met PowerSupport niet bij een temperatuur lager dan -10 graden
Celsius.
• Gebruik de IBIS met PowerSupport niet bij een temperatuur hoger dan 40 graden
Celsius.
• Laad de accu niet op bij een omgevingstemperatuur lager dan 0 graden Celsius.
• Laad de accu niet op in de volle zon of bij een omgevingstemperatuur hoger dan 40
graden Celsius. Let op, in de volle zon kan de temperatuur in de accubehuizing
gemakkelijk oplopen tot boven deze temperatuur.

General safety guidelines and instructions

1 General safety guidelines and instructions
The manufacturer accepts no liability whatsoever for damage or injury caused by
failure to (strictly) adhere to the safety guidelines and instructions or else due to
carelessness during the use and cleaning of the PowerSupport module. Depending
on the specific work circumstances, additional safety instructions may be required.
Please contact your dealer immediately if you observe a potential danger during the
use of the product.
• To avoid accidents and other problems, it is very important to pay attention
to the safety instructions as described in the Ibis owner’s manual of Sunrise
Medical.
• The PowerSupport should only be used for the transport of persons to a
maximum weight of 125 kg. Tests were conducted with this user weight.
• When charging the batteries it is strongly advised to use a charger which
complies with the specifications on page 10 of this manual.
• When the wheelchair is not being used, it is advised to connect the battery
charger to the PowerSupport system. It is best to charge the batteries every
night.
• Never use the PowerSupport on a slope with an angle of more than 6°.
• With a user weight of more than 100 kg the wheelchair will hardly brake, if at
all, when driving down a slope.
• Always use the parking brake when parking the PowerSupport.
• Do not connect any other equipment to the PowerSupport.
• Never open the battery cover.
• Never clean the PowerSupport using a hose or high-pressure spraying pistol.
The PowerSupport should be cleaned with a damp cloth.
• Be careful when (un)locking the parking brake. The moving parts of the
braking system may cause jamming.
• The PowerSupport is suitable for indoor and outdoor use (EN 12184 (1999)
class B). Driving through deep puddles is not considered as normal use and
may cause damage to the motors.
Parts list, electrical connection diagrams and detailed repair instructions are available
on request.

2 Operating instructions
2.1 Controller
On/Off indicator
Green indicator light which is on when the PowerSupport is activated. In case of a
general malfunction the indicator will lighten up.
Operating handle
Handle (on/off) which activates the power assistance function.
Selector switch
Button on the controller to set the power supply. With this button, the walking
speed can be set. The selector switch has seven fixed positions: reverse (R), neutral
(off mode), and five drive forward positions (1 - 5).
Battery indicator
Lights showing the battery condition. The battery indicator comprises 5 lights (red: 20%,
orange: 40%, green: 60, 80 and 100% charge). When the PowerSupport is activated or
is being charged, the battery indicator is visible. When the battery charge is less than
40%, you should charge the batteries.

2.2 Charging the batteries
The PowerSupport may be charged at any time. The charging process may also be
interrupted at any time. As soon as the battery charger is connected to the
PowerSupport, the battery indicator will show the battery condition. During charging
the PowerSupport is protected and it is not possible to drive with PowerSupport
assistance.
During charging one of the battery indicator lights will flash. The battery charge level
can be recognized by the number of lights that are constantly lit. When the battery is
fully charged, all indicator lights will stay on.
1. Put the charge cable of the battery charger in the wall outlet of the electricity
mains.
2. Remove the cover cap from the battery pack.
3. Put the four-pin charge plug of the battery charger in the battery pack until you
hear a clear ‘click’.
4. Check if a battery indicator light on the controller is flashing when you start
charging the batteries. This indicates that the batteries are actually being charged.
5. After charging, check if the battery indicator lights on the controller are
permanently lit. This indicates that the batteries have been charged properly.
6. Push back the release catch and remove the charge plug of the battery charger
from the battery pack. Attention: the charge plug cannot be removed from the
battery pack if the release catch is not pushed in. This may damage the
electronics.
7. Put the cover cap of the battery pack back in place.
8. The PowerSupport is now ready for use.
It is advised to mount a smoke detector in the charging area.
Disconnect batteries in case of longer storage without usage.

2.3 Parking
When the PowerSupport is not in use, put the selector switch in neutral (off) and
engage the parking brake of the Ibis wheelchair. When the PowerSupport is used,
release the parking brake.
Be careful when (un)locking the parking brake. The moving parts of the braking system
may cause jamming.
2.4 Driving with PowerSupport assistance
Put the selector switch in the desired position (R, for reverse position or position 1-5 for
forward). Make sure you choose a power level that suits the desired walking speed.
Bear in mind the surface. A smooth surface requires less assistance than a slope or
rough surface, such as carpet.
Put the selector switch in neutral to move the Ibis without assistance (position 0).
2.5 Braking
When driving with assistance, the PowerSupport will actively slow down the wheelchair
when the operating handle is released.
When driving with assistance (selector switch in position 1-5, operating handle not
engaged), the motor will automatically brake when the speed exceeds 3 km/h.
When driving with assistance (selector switch in position 1-5, operating handle not
engaged), the motor will automatically brake when the wheelchair drives backward,
ensuring increased safety on a slope.
2.6 Switching off
The PowerSupport does not have a separate on/off switch. The PowerSupport will
switch off automatically, if it has not been used for a while (5 minutes in position R or 1-
5). In position 0, neutral, the PowerSupport will switch off immediately. As soon as the
operating handle is pushed forward, or the selector switch is turned, the PowerSupport
is activated.
2.7 Curves (tip)
Just keep the operating handle engaged when taking a curve. If you release the

2.8 Slope
Only drive with PowerSupport assistance on slopes you are familiar with. Slopes with
an angle of more than 6° are not suitable for the PowerSupport.
The top 3 positions are suitable for driving on a slope with assistance.
Driving up a slope
• Stop before the slope.
• Before driving up the slope, put the selector switch in a position providing sufficient
assistance (preferably position 4/5).
• If necessary change to a higher position if you feel the selected position is not
providing sufficient assistance.
• Avoid neutral (off mode) and reverse (R). In these positions the wheelchair does not
brake so the attendant receives the full weight.
Driving down a slope
• Stop before the slope.
• Before driving down the slope, put the selector switch in the forward position (1-5).
Do not use the operating handle, but push the wheelchair down the slope by
yourself. The motors will brake slightly if the speed exceeds 3 km/h.
• Avoid neutral (off mode) and reverse (R). In these positions the wheelchair does not
brake so the attendant receives the full weight.
Attention: with a user weight of more than 100 kg the wheelchair will hardly
brakes, if at all.
2.9 Obstacles
The PowerSupport is suitable for kerbs up to 4 cm. Drive carefully towards the kerb
with the front wheels. Put the PowerSupport in position 4 or 5. Then take a short run
up (15 cm) to drive up the kerb. Make sure the wheelchair does not carry on
accelerating after mounting the kerb.

• Never clean the PowerSupport with a hose or high-pressure spraying pistol. The
PowerSupport should be cleaned with a damp cloth, if necessary with some
household soap dissolved in water.
• Attention! In case of a malfunction, the PowerSupport system will not brake.
This may cause a dangerous situation on a slope, as the attendant receives
the full weight of the wheelchair and user. Therefore, immediately engage the
parking brake when identifying a malfunction.
• In case of a malfunction, the on/off indicator will start flashing. This is a general
malfunction indication.
• Action: check all motor connections. If necessary secure the plug connection of the
motor. In any other case, contact the service engineer.
• If the lights/indicators on the control unit do not blink:
Action 1: check if the control unit cable is loose at the plug connection to the battery
pack.
Action 2: connect the battery charger, lift the wheelchair and carefully turn one of the
wheels. The PowerSupport should start charging. In any other case, contact the
service engineer.
• If the battery indicator lights are flashing or lit constantly, the PowerSupport is
probably still charging. Remove the plug from the battery charger. The PowerSupport
is now ready for use.
• In case of a flat tyre, the service engineer should be contacted. If you continue to
drive, you may damage the wheels.

5 Warranty and liability
The PowerSupport is TNO approved in conformity with the requirements of the
European wheelchair standard EN 12184 (1999) class B.
The warranty and liability stipulations as described in the Ibis owner’s manual are
applicable to the Ibis with PowerSupport.
Contrary to the above mentioned rule, the following applies to the PowerSupport
module:
The batteries carry a two year warranty, under the following conditions:
• Always use the Ibis with PowerSupport in conformity with the instructions in this
owner’s manual.
• Never open the battery cover.
• Do not use the Ibis PowerSupport at a temperature of less than -10° Celsius.
• Do not use the Ibis PowerSupport at a temperature of more than 40° Celsius.
• Do not charge the batteries at a surrounding temperature of less than 0° Celsius.
• Do not charge the batteries in direct sunlight or at a surrounding temperature of
more than 40° Celsius. Note that in direct sunlight the temperature in the battery
cover can easily rise beyond this temperature.

1 Consignes et instructions générales de sécurité
Le fabricant Sunrise Medical décline toute responsabilité en cas de préjudice ou de
lésion corporelle résultant du non-respect (strict) des consignes et instructions de
sécurité ou de la négligence pendant l’utilisation et le nettoyage du module
PowerSupport. En fonction des conditions de travail spécifiques et des accessoires
utilisés, des instructions de sécurité complémentaires peuvent être nécessaires.
Veuillez prendre contact avec votre revendeur si vous avez constaté un danger
potentiel lors de l’utilisation du produit.
• Pour prévenir des accidents, il est très important de prendre note des
instructions prescrites dans le manuel d’instructions Ibis de Sunrise
Medical.
• Le PowerSupport doit seulement être utilisé pour des personnes avec un
poids n’excédant pas 125 kg. Les tests sont réalisés avec ce poids
d’utilisateur.
• Pour charger les batteries, il est conseillé d’utiliser le chargeur qui répond
aux conditions voir les spécifications de la page 10 de ce manuel.
• Quand le fauteuil roulant n’est pas employé, il est avisé de connecter le
chargeur sur le système PowerSupport. Il est préférable de charger les
batteries toutes les nuits.
• Ne jamais utiliser le PowerSupport sur des cotes avec un angle de plus de
5°.
• Avec un poids d’utilisateur plus que 100 kg, le fauteuil roulant ne freinera
pratiquement pas.
• Engagez toujours les freins en cas d’arrêt.
• Ne pas connecter d’autre équipement sur le PowerSupport.
• Ne jamais ouvrir la boîte a batteries.
• Jamais nettoyer le PowerSupport en utilisant un tuyau d’arrosage ou un
nettoyeur haute pression. Le PowerSupport doit être nettoyé avec une
éponge humide.
• Faites attention quand vous (dé)bloquez les freins de parking. Les parties
bougeant du système de freins, peuvent causer un coincement.
• Le PowerSupport est a utiliser à l’intérieure et à l’extérieure (EN 12184
(1999) class B). Rouler dans des flaques n’est pas considéré comme usage
normal et peut endommager les moteurs.

2 Utilisation
2.1 Manette
Indicateur d’activation
L’indicateur d’activation est vert quand le PowerSupport est allumé. Au cas où il y a
un disfonctionnement générale, l’indicateur commencera à briller.
Manette
La manette (on/off) qui active l’assistance du PowerSupport.
Bouton de sélection
Le bouton de sélection sur la manette qui règle la capacité. Avec ce bouton, la
vitesse de marche peut être engagé. Elle permet 7 différentes positions ; arrière
(R), neutre (état inactif), et cinq positions de vitesse avant. (1-5).
Indicateur d’état de batteries
Les lumières indiquent l’état des batteries. L’indicateur de batteries est pourvu de 5
lumières. (Rouge 10%, orange 40%, vert 60, 80 et 100%). Quand le PowerSupport
est activé ou en train de charger, l’indicateur de batteries est visible. Quand la
charge est de moins de 40% vous devez recharger les batteries.

2.2 Rechargement des batteries
Le PowerSupport peut être rechargé à tout moment. Le processus de
rechargement peut aussi être interrompu à tout moment. Au moment ou le
chargeur est connecté au PowerSupport, l’indicateur de batteries montrera la
condition des batteries. En rechargeant, le PowerSupport est protégé et il n’est pas
possible de rouler avec l’assistance PowerSupport.
Pendant le rechargement, une des lumières de l’indicateur d’état de batteries
clignotera. Le niveau de l’état des batteries est reconnue par le nombre de lumières
qui brulent. Au moment ou les batteries sont rechargé, toutes le lumières brulerons.
1. Mettez le câble de charge du chargeur dans la prise de courant.
2. Enlevez la couvercle de la boîte a batteries.
3. Rentrez la fiche de contact du chargeur dans l’entrée prévu dans la boîte a
batteries jusqu'à ce que vous entendez un ‘click’.
4. Contrôlez si l’indicateur de batteries sur la console de commande clignote
quand vous commencez à recharger les batteries. Cela indique si les batteries
sont véritablement en train de recharger.
5. Après le rechargement, contrôlez si les lumières de l’indicateur de batteries
brûlent en permanence. Ceci indique si les batteries sont correctement
rechargées.
6. Déconnectez d’abord le câble de charge au secteur puis déconnectez la fiche
aux batteries. Attention : ne pas enlevé le câble de charge quand il est encore
verrouillée. Ceci peut causer un damage permanent aux circuits électriques.
7. Remettez le couvercle du bac à batteries.
8. Le PowerSupport est maintenant prêt pour usage.
Il est conseillé de monter un détecteur de fumée dans la zone de chargement.
Déconnectez les batteries en cas de stockage prolongé sans utilisation.

2.3 Parking
Quand le PowerSupport n’est pas en usage, mettez le bouton de sélection de
vitesse dans sa position neutre (état inactif) et engagez le frein de parking sur le
fauteuil roulant Ibis. Quand vous utilisez le PowerSupport, desserrez les freins de
parking.
Faites attention quand vous (dé)bloquez les freins de parking. Les parties
bougeant du système de freins, peuvent causer un coincement.
2.4 Rouler avec assistance PowerSupport
Tournez le bouton de sélection dans sa position désiré (R pour arrière ou position
1-5 pour avant). Assurez vous que vous choisissez la position de vitesse qui
convient à la vitesse désirée. Rendez vous compte de la surface du sol. Une
surface lisse demande moins d’assistance qu’une surface accidentée ou en pente.
Tournez le bouton de sélection dans sa position neutre pour pouvoir pousser le
fauteuil roulant sans assistance. (Position 0).
2.5 Freiner
En conduisant avec assistance, le PowerSupport s’arrêtera activement quand la
manette sera lâchée.
En conduisant avec assistance (le bouton de sélection dans la position 1-5, la
manette non engagée), le moteur freinera automatiquement quand la vitesse
dépasse les 3 km/h.
En conduisant avec assistance (le bouton de sélection dans la position 1-5, la
manette pas engager), le moteur freinera automatiquement quand le fauteuil
roulant roule en arrière, Ceci est prévu de manière a augmenter la sécurité sur une
pente.
2.6 Déconnecter le PowerSupport
Le PowerSupport n’a pas de bouton séparé pour éteindre le système. Le
PowerSupport s’éteindra automatiquement, si il n’est pas utilisé durant un certain
temps (5 minutes dans la position R ou 1-5). Dans la position, neutre, le
PowerSupport s’éteint immédiatement. Aussitôt que la manette est poussée en
avant ou le bouton de sélection de vitesse est tourné, le PowerSupport est à
nouveau engagé.
2.7 Virages (type)
Maintenez la manette en avant quand vous prenez un virage. Quand vous relâchez
la manette, le fauteuil s’arrêtera, ce qui complique la manœuvre.

2.8 Côte
Roulez seulement avec le PowerSupport sur des côtes que vous connaissez. Des
côtes avec plus de 6° ne sont pas appropriées pour rouler avec l’assistance du
PowerSupport.
Les 3 positions supérieures sont conseillées pour gravir une pente avec
assistance du PowerSupport.
Rouler en côte
• Arrêtez vous devant la côte.
• Avant de monter une côte, mettez le bouton de sélection dans une position qui
procure assez d’assistance (de préférence positions 4 ou 5).
• Si nécessaire, augmentez la vitesse d’assistance.
• Evitez la position neutre (état inactif) et arrière (R). Dans ces positions, le fauteuil
ne freinera pas et l’accompagnateur devra pousser le poids total.
Descendre une pente
• Arrêtez-vous devant la pente.
• Avant de descendre la pente, tournez l’indicateur de vitesse dans la position
avant (1-5). N’utilisez pas la manette, mais poussez le fauteuil de la pente. Le
moteur freinera doucement si la vitesse excède les 3 km/h.
• Evitez la position neutre (état inactif) et arrière (R). Dans ces positions, le fauteuil
ne freinera pas et l’accompagnateur devra retenir le poids total.
Attention : avec un usager qui pèse plus de 100 kg, le fauteuil roulant ne
freinera qu’un peu ou pas du tout.
2.9 Obstacles
Le PowerSupport permet de prendre des bordures jusqu'à 4 cm. Roulez
doucement en direction du trottoir avec vos roues avant. Mettez le PowerSupport
dans la position 4 ou 5. Ensuite vous prenez un petit élan (15 cm) pour monter sur
le trottoir. Prenez garde que le fauteuil roulant ne continue pas a accélérer après
que vous avez pris le trottoir.

tout les cas, contacter votre revendeur.
• Si l’indicateur d’état de batteries clignote ou brûle constamment, le PowerSupport
est probablement encore en train de recharger. Enlevé la fiche de contact du
chargeur de batteries. Le PowerSupport est maintenant près pour usage.
• En cas de crevaison, un mécanicien doit être contacté. Si vous continuez a rouler,
vos pouvez endommager les roues.

Européen du fauteuil roulant standard EN 12184 (1999) classe B.
Les clauses de garantie et de responsabilités pour le PowerSupport sont décrites
dans le manuel de l’Ibis.
En déviation des règles mentionnées au dessus, le suivant est en vigueur pour le
module PowerSupport:
Les batteries on une garantie de deux ans sous les conditions suivantes:
• Utilisez toujours l’Ibis avec PowerSupport conforme les indications du manuel
d’instructions.
