Cleaning
Important:
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
We recommend using a commercially available detergent diluted in an
appropriate quantity of water. Use the proportions recommended on your
detergent packaging.
Remove the drip plate and the drip tray.
Lift the keg and dispenser out of the container and place them on a secure,
flat surface.
The container, drip tray and drip plate can now be flushed out and washed
up, or wiped out and wiped off as needed.
To remove more stubborn marks, you can safely use hot water. All foam
parts are heat-resistant up to 100°C.
Naturally, this also applies to the stainless steel components.
If you wish to clean the Beer Buddy, but the keg is not yet empty, we recom-
mend you leave the dispenser attached to the keg and wipe both with a
damp cloth.
When your keg is empty, follow the instructions under ‘Changing the Keg’ to
remove it. Then you can wipe the dispenser down with a damp cloth.
You can also clean inside the dispenser by holding it upside down with the
tapper under running water while holding the dispensing valve open with
your hand.
The dispensing valve (the upper black component) can also be removed for
cleaning. However, we recommend you only carry this out before long peri-
ods of disuse, or after intensive use.
Important:
To prevent mould growth, allow all parts to dry thoroughly after cleaning,
before reassembling your Buddy.
