The handle 25 can be turned with respect to the
motor housing through 90° either to the left or
right. This enables the On/Off switch to be
brought into a more advantageous operating po-
sition for particular working situations, e. g. for
cutting work with the guide block/cutting stand
(optional extra) and for left-handers.
Pull the handle unlocking button 26 firmly in the
direction of the arrow (
➊), turning the handle 25
at the same time to the desired position (
➋) until
it notches. The figure shows the handle 25 turned
through 90°.
☞
The handle unlocking button 26 and the
On/Off switch 3 have a safety interlock.
The machine cannot be switched on if the
handle 25 is not notched in one of the three
possible positions.
The handle 25 cannot be unlocked if the
On/Off switch 3 is locked.
■ Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
☞
For safe and proper working, always keep
the machine and the ventilation slots clean.
In extreme working conditions, conductive
dust can accumulate in the interior of the
machine when working with metal. The
protective insulation of the machine can be
degraded. The use of a stationary extrac-
tion system is recommended in such cases
as well as frequently blowing out the venti-
lation slots and installing a residual current
device (RCD).
If the machine should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorised after-sales
service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
WARNING! Important instructions for con-
necting a new 3-pin plug to the 2 wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to
the following code:
Do not
connect the blue or brown wire to the
earth terminal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the moulded plug is
removed from the cable of this machine it must be
disposed of safely.
