Your phone can store up to 100 phonebook entries, which can be saved and
viewed by any handset registered to the base, although only one handset
can access it at a time. Each phonebook entry can have a maximum of 20
digits for the phone number and 14 characters for the name..
See section 3.5 for how to enter text for the names.
1. Press <PHONEBOOK> to open the phonebook list, with the rst entry
shown, or if the phonebook is empty.
( you can also open the phonebook from the home screen, by
pressing <MENU/OK> and <UP/DOWN> to select PHONEBOOK, then
<MENU/OK> again.)
2. If it is not showing press <MENU/OK> again to display
3. Press <MENU/OK> and then enter the name for the contact (maximum
14 characters), using the keypad to enter characters and <DEL/INT> to
delete them.
4. Press <MENU/OK> to conrm the name entry.
5. Enter the number for the contact (maximum 20 digits) and then press
<MENU/OK> to conrm. A conrmation beep is played.
** You cannot store a new phonebook entry when the memory is full. In this
case, you have to delete existing entries to make space for new entries.
** When storing the number, enter the full number including the
(area) code if you subscribe to caller display, otherwise it will not display
the name when there is an incoming call.
Press <PHONEBOOK> in idle mode to open the phonebook list.
Alternatively, you can press <MENU/OK> then <UP/DOWN> to display
and then press <MENU/OK>to open the phonebook list.
The phonebook entries are listed in alphabetical order, with the rst one
shown when the phonebook list is accessed, and you can press <UP/
DOWN> to scroll through the stored entries.
** Instead of pressing <UP/DOWN> to browse the phonebook entries, you
can press the numeric key corresponding to the rst letter of the entry you
wish to locate. For example, pressing 2 will show the rst entry starting with A.
Pressing 2 again will show the rst entry starting with B, and so on..., and
then press <UP/DOWN>, if necessary, to nd the entry you want.
To view the number stored for a selected name press <PHONEBOOK>, and
press <PHONEBOOK> again to return to the list.
