Pacemakers
Pacemaker manufacturers recommend that a minimum distance of 20
cm between a mobile phone and a pacemaker be maintained in order
to avoid potential interferences with the pacemaker. These
recommendations are consistent with the independent research and
recommendations of Wireless Technology Research. For people with a
pacemaker:
●
You should always keep a minimum distance of 20 cm between the
mobile phone and the pacemaker when the phone is turned on.
●
You should not keep the phone in the breast pocket.
●
When using a mobile phone, you should hold it to the ear that is
farthest away from your pacemaker to reduce the risk of possible
interferences.
●
If you have a reason to suspect that an interference has occurred,
turn off your phone immediately.
Hearing aids
Some digital mobile phones may cause interferences with some
hearing aids. Should that be the case, please contact the service
provider.
