Call screening
From your handset, you can listen into
a caller leaving their message. This
feature can be switched on or off. The
factory setting is on.
To switch call screening on
or off
Press the Menu options button.
Press the
DOWN navigation
button until the display shows
Voice Mail
.
Press the
OK options button.
Press the
DOWN navigation
button until the display shows
Call Screen
.
Press the
OK options button.
You will hear a confirmation
tone. A
✔
indicates call
screening is switched on.
Press the OK options button
again to switch it off.
While the caller is leaving their
message:
Press the Talk options button.
The machine stops recording
and you can talk to your caller.
To interrupt a call
If a caller is leaving a message,
you can interrupt and take the
call at the handset.

Note
To switch call screening off for the
current call, press the RED PHONE
button on the handset during the call.
New message indicator
When you have new messages, the In
use light will flash and the display will
show
You have new messages
.
Playing messages
To listen to your new messages
Press the ENVELOPE button.
Put the handset to your ear
and your new messages will be
played back to you.
Playback begins with the last
message recorded. When all
new messages have been
played, old messages will follow.
At the end of all messages, you
hear the end of messages tone.
Note
By pressing and holding down the
1 button you can also access your
messages on the answering machine.
