12. Answering Machine
Your answering machine can be ready for use within a few seconds of
plugging in the telephone line cord and switching on the mains power. Just
follow the steps in this section to set up and use your answering machine.

Record your outgoing message (OGM)
Your answering machine comes with a default outgoing message but you
can record your own personal OGM of up to 2 minutes long.

Record a memo
You can use your answering machine to record memo messages for other
users to listen to later.

Press to end your recording
Time saver: This feature can save you the cost of a call when you ring
in to listen to your messages from another phone. If your answering
machine answers after 2 rings you have new messages, if it answers after
5 rings then there are no new messages. Hang up after the 2nd ring and
you will not be charged for the call.
