Turn the tank over so that the upper section is on
the bottom.
Place the two rear foot rollers 20 in the side guide
on the base of the tank (B4)
.
Put the two front rollers (14) in the guides on the
bottom of the tank.
Check that the rollers have been pushed comple
-
tely into the guides.
Secure all the foot rollers using the screws sup
-
plied.
Insert the foam plastic filter (9) that has been
supplied for wet vacuuming.
(see the section called “Wet Vacuuming“)
Insert the dust bag (10) that has been supplied for
dry vacuuming.
(see the section called “Dry Vacuuming“)
Replace the upper section on the tank (B6)
.
Hook the clamps into the upper section and let
them snap into place by pressing the clamps
downwards (B7)
.
Place the large end of the hose (4) on the front air
intake stub (17) on the tank (B8).
Select the required nozzle
5 or 7 (B1) or the
stainless steel tubes 6 (B1) and slide them over the
suction tube 4 (B1), (B9)
.
Wet/Dry combination nozzle (5): for vacuuming
carpets, smooth surfaces and liquids.
Snap the lever forwards for carpets and
deep pile fitted carpeting.
Snap the lever backwards for hard
floors and hardwearing short pile fitted carpeting
and for vacuuming liquids covering a large area.
Handle section with air-leak slider
Open the air leak slider on the handle to regulate
the airflow or to remove articles that are stuck to
the nozzle.
After using and cleaning the appliance, store the
accessories by attaching them to the correspon-
ding holders on the vacuum cleaner.
Cable storage
The cable can be coiled on to the rear of the appli
-
ance for storage (B15).
Dry Vacuum Cleaning
ATTENTION! It is absolutely necessary
for you to read, understand, and
observe the section entitled “Safety
Instructions and Warnings”.
NOTE: Never vacuum up hazardous materials.
If an incorrect dust bag is used, then the
guarantee becomes void.
Make sure that the appliance is not plugged into
the power mains.
Make sure that the foam plastic filter (9) (B1) is
clean and dry and installed over the filter basket
(3) (B10).
Slide the dust bag (10) over the hose connection
(B12) in the tank. Press it until it snaps firmly into
place (B13). In the process, make sure that the
dust bag is not damaged.
Place the upper section on the tank once again
and close the clamps (B6), (B7)
.
Place the large end of the hose on the front air
intake stub (17) on the tank (B8) and screw it in by
turning to the right.
Select the required nozzle
5 or 7 (B1) or the
stainless steel tubes 6 (B1) and slide them over the
suction tube 4 (B1), (B9)
.
Make sure that the ON/OFF switch (13) (B1) on the
appliance is in the “Off” position (position “0”) be
-
fore you plug the power plug into the receptacle.
Plug the power plug into the receptacle.
Switch the motor on (ON/OFF switch in position
“I”).
When you have finished vacuuming, switch the
motor off by putting the ON/OFF switch (13) (B1)
into the „OFF“ position (position „O“).
Unplug the power plug.
Check the dust bag (10) (B1) regularly and change
it when it is 2/3 full. The bag is designed such that
only air, and no dust, can pass through the paper.
Therefore a used dust bag may not be reused.
NOTE: Don’t use the dust bag for vacuuming up
objects with sharp edges or wet objects.
Vacuuming with the Plaited Filter (11)
When using the plaited filter (11), no dust bag (10)
and no foam plastic filter (9) is necessary. Remove
them if need be.
Place the plaited filter on the filter basket 3 (B11)
from the top. After extended use, it can be clea-
ned by banging it out or brushing it out.
Empty the container (15) in the garbage bin after
vacuuming.

Make sure that the foam plastic filter (9) (B1) is
clean and dry and installed over the filter basket
