Instructions for use
Before first use, remove all packaging materials/stickers from the unit and wipe the surface of the plates with a damp
cloth, then dry.
1. Before heating your Waffle Maker, the cooking surface may be sprayed or brushed with small amount of cooking oil.
since the plate is non-stick surface, the use of butter or oil is optional.
2. Plug the power cord in the AC outlet and the red lamp will turn “ON”. Set the temperature degree using the
temperature control knob located on the top of the Waffle Maker.
3. A small amount of smoke may occur on your first time use. This is quite normal for new appliances and the smoke
will burn off safely within a few seconds.
4. Preheat the Waffle Maker until the green lamp is on, it means the temperature has reached the pre-determined
temperature (usually it takes 4-6 minutes)
5. Inner preheat: Open the Waffle Maker; add filling on it; close the Waffle maker slowly, without pressing the handles
together. During the baking process, a thermostat will automatically switch the appliance OFF and ON to regulate
the temperature. During this process, the green lamp will alternately turn ON and OFF.
6. The baking process is about 3-5 minutes; if the waffle is too light, continue baking. Otherwise, open the waffle maker
and remove the waffle using a flat wooden or plastic spatula. Never use sharp or metal objects, (e.g. knives, metal
spatulas, etc.) this will damage the non-stick surface. To bake more waffles, repeat steps 5 to 7.
7. The appliance should remain closed during baking process.
8. After the baking process is completed, pull out the mains plug immediately.
Helpful hints in waffle making
The waffle mixture should be fairly thick, but should be fluid enough to drop off from ladle /spoon. Use enough
mixture to ensure it fills the baking surfaces and spreads evenly.
If you prefer crispy waffles, substitute the milk with water. Milk makes the waffles softer but darker so use a lower
heat setting.
Do not use too much baking powder
If the waffles are spotty, maybe the ingredients used were for a different temperature. To ensure a consistent color
and result, take all ingredients out of the refrigerator an hour beforehand. We particularly recommend using very
soft butter, and that the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
