7.6.2 How your messages are saved
By selecting the “Mem.” option in the “Sending param.” menu, you have 3 ways of handling your messages
(see page 39):
1- Sent messages:
-Save the messages in your SIM card (SMS only),
-Save the message in your telephone’s memory (SMS and MMS),
- Send your messages without saving them.You will not be able to read them later (messages are SMS,
MMS,Vox MMS).
2- Received messages:
- Short messages (SMS) are always saved in the SIM card memory,
- Multimedia messages are always saved in the telephone’s memory,
-You can save your messages (SMS/MMS) in the “Archives” folder of your inbox.All archived messages
(SMS or MMS) will be stored systematically in the telephone’s memory.
7.6.3 Creating a group
Select the “Add group” item, confirm using the key, then name the group.You can now enter the phone
numbers for the members of your new group.
7.6.4 Deleting messages
To delete all messages on your SIM card or in the Archives go to the “Sending param.” menu and select
the following options:
-“Delete SIM msg.”: delete all messages received and sent from the SIM.
-“Delete prod. msg.”: delete all messages stored in the phone’s memory.
Your SIM card’s capacity depends on your operator.The icon appears when the card is full.To
receive new SMS, delete some old ones.

2-Multimedia/MMS
• MMS profiles (“Profile”)

:To set your MMS profile, follow the same procedure as for setting your
WAP connection (cf. page 65).
• Mode: this option allows you to choose between immediate reception or deferred mode for national and
international network coverage (see page 30).
• Acknowledgment of receipt (“Ack”):request for acknowledgement of receipt for each message sent.
• Message validity (“Val”): the time period during which attempts to send the message to the recipient
will be repeated in case of failure.
• Memory (“Mem”): to store or automatically delete your sent messages as you choose.
• Timer: allows you to set the speed at which the pages scroll through: the recipient will see the message
at this speed.
