5.3 Training wireless components
Proceed as follows to train wireless components in the IP
alarm module:
- Set dip switch 1 to ON.
- In the main programming menu, select item 1
(LED 1 lights up).
- Confirm by pressing SET.
- The LEDs show the state of the trained wireless
components. If an LED illuminates, this indicates that the
channel is already in use. If the LED is blinking, you can
train a component for this channel.
- Trigger the tamper contact of the detector or send a signal
from the detector. If the signal is received, the IP alarm
module assigns this detector to a new channel. The LED of
this channel starts to illuminate. The accessory module
beeps twice when the detector has been successfully
trained.
Note: When training a detector, consult the installation instructions
of the detector. Magnetic contacts sometimes use two detector
channels (reed contact and external contact).
