Voice messages: The SD1+ has a built-in microphone and speaker so that messages can
be recorded and replayed directly from the unit. In the event of an alarm, the unit first gives
general information (e.g. name, location) followed by the appropriate alarm message
(A, B, C, D). A total of 40 seconds is available for recording all the voice messages.
Acknowledgement: On receiving a call from the SD1+, the person answering the call
can acknowledge it by pressing
8 on the telephone. If an alarm message is not
acknowledged, it is repeated four times, after which the SD1+ abandons the call and the
next target number is dialled. The SD1+ can be programmed so that when one call
is acknowledged, one, two or all other target numbers are called and also have to be
acknowledged.
Abort: The SD1+ has several abort options:
- resetting the alarm with an "ABORT" signal
- by entering a valid user code
- and when the signal drops out at the alarm input.
2. Preparing to install
The SD1+ is designed to be connected to an alarm control panel. The control panel
must provide power output of 11.5 - 14V. Current consumption is a maximum 100mA.
The unit is supplied with a telephone cable and connector for TAE-NFN sockets
required for operation with analog telephones in Germany. The speech dialler must be
plugged in. Additional telephone terminals can be connected. The telephone line can be
extended as required (see Chapter 7 for further details).
Please observe the relevant country-specific regulations for connecting the unit to
the telephone network. Please contact your supplier if you have any questions.
