1. Introduction
The MEMOday reminds you what day and time it is. Its clear display
shows the time, day of the week, date, and part of the day. You can also
have the text read aloud.
By showing whether it is night or day, the MEMOday can prevent the
user from accidentally calling a relative or going out in the middle of the
night.
The MEMOday should be placed in a central location in the home. It is
connected to a wall socket with the supplied charger.
The MEMOday is easily adjustable to suit the user's needs.
If the MEMOday loses power (like in a power failure), the text will
disappear. However, normal operation will resume when the power
comes back on.
The MEMOday adjusts automatically for the start and end of daylight
saving time.
2. Getting started
1. Decide how to introduce the MEMOday. Some people do not want to
use “assistive devices”, so it may work best to present it as a “gift”.
2. Decide where in the home the MEMOday should be positioned. It
should be somewhere it is easily seen, like by the phone or on the
kitchen counter. Make sure that there are no reflections on the display
from lights or sunlight through the windows.
3. Connect the supplied charger to a wall socket and to the socket on
the side of the MEMOday.
4. Press and hold the On/Off button on the side of the MEMOday until
the display lights up.
5. Follow the instructions shown to set language, country, time and date
as well as which information will be shown on the display. See section
8. Display for more information.
6. Make sure the charger is always connected. The display will only
remain on if the MEMOday is connected to a wall socket.
NB! Only use the supplied charger for the product. Contact your
supplier if you need a new one.
