Screen Saver
The unit can display a freeze frame without a time limit. This can cause
damage to the screen. Activate the screen saver to protect the screen.
Select between the following options:
On:
K
Screen saver is activated (default).
Off:
K
Screen saver is deactivated.
Audio Setup Page
Downmix (Downmix)
Modifies the characteristic of the speaker output:
L/R:
K
Select this setting to play the DVD in Pro Logic Dolby Stereo
Effect. Plays a realistic 2-channel stereo effect.
Stereo:
K
Select this setting if you wish to play a DVD recorded in
5.1-audio-format in 2-channell-stereo sound.
Digital Output
The settings for the digital audio output are defined here.
SPDIF Off:
K
An analogue and not a digital audio signal is transmitted.
SPDIF/RAW:
K
A digital audio signal is transmitted. Use this setting if
the amplifier is not a stereo two channel amplifier.
SPDIF/PCM:
K
A digital audio signal is transmitted, which is converted
into a 2-channel signal. Use this setting if the amplifier is a stereo two
channel amplifier.
NOTE:
If there is no audio output, although you have connected the DVD
player to an amplifier, you may have selected an incorrect setting for the
audio output.
Dolby Digital Setup
Dual Mono
The sound output usually takes place stereo. You may choose a mono
output instead of a stereo output
Stereo:
K
The output is in stereo (default setting).
L-Mono:
K
The output is in mono. On all speakers the signal is emitted
from the “left” stereo channel.
R-Mono:
K
The output is in mono. On all speakers the signal is emitted
from the “right” stereo channel.
Mix Mono:
K
The output is in mono. On all speakers the signal is emit-
ted from the “both” stereo channel.
