Recycling the packaging conserves raw
materials and reduces waste. Dispose of
any unwanted packaging materials in ac-
cordance with local regulations.
NOTE:
If possible keep the original packaging for the dura-

tion of the warranty period of the unit, in order that
you can repack the unit properly in the event of a
warranty claim.
Connection
WARNING:
Damage to property may occur when installing the
unit!
If possible have the unit installed by a qualied

specialist.
If you want to install the unit yourself, follow the

instructions on connection and installation for safe
and correct operation of the unit.
CAUTION:
Using the wrong connections may damage the unit.
When installing, use the ISO connections on the
►
unit. The vehicle-specic ISO adapter which may be
needed can be obtained from repair shops, specialist
retailers or in the relevant departments of depart-
ment stores.

Always use the cable for the front speakers to

Note that connection 4 must be connected to

permanent positive for auto preset.
In some car models the default pinout of connec-
►
tions [4] and [7] (ISO A) is swapped in the assembly
plant. If this is the case, auto preset may not func-
tion. To rectify the problem, connections 7 (positive
under key) and 4 (permanent positive) must be
swapped.
Antenna power connection A5 (ISO A)
CAUTION:
Potential damage to unit!
Never connect the antenna power connection to the

motor power cable for the antenna.
Max. allowed current: 100 mA.

The antenna power connection is available for a relay-
controlled antenna. The relay automatically extends
the antenna when the unit is switched on. The antenna
retracts again when the unit is switched o. This connec-
tion can also be used to control an external amplier. To
connect this properly please refer to the amplier
operating manual.
