3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the power cord, plug, or toaster in water or

10. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. To disconnect, turn any control to off, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than its intended use.
14. Oversized foods, metal foil package, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may

15. A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable materials, such as curtains,
draperies, walls, dish cloths, or towels, when in operation.
16. Do not attempt to dislodge food when your toaster is plugged in.
17. If the bread carriage handle gets blocked during use (for example, because the bread slices are

precautions often causes fires.
