6 Messaging
The M-Nav is a mobile data terminal that receives text messages from the OnlineAVL client in your office and is
capable of sending preset or user entered replies or outbound messages back to your fleet operator
.
6.1 The Message List
The Message List is used for all messaging related tasks, such as reading new messages, replying to
messages, or creating new messages.
6.2 Receiving Messages
When a text message is sent to you, a New Message alert will be displayed, no matter what screen you
are currently viewing.
Using the
8-way toggle
select EITHER:
•
Cancel
to remove this screen, then press
OK
. The alert will disappear.
(You may view the message later in the Message List screen).
•
Read
to view the entire message, then press
OK
. The Read message screen will display.
From the Read Message screen, use the
8-way toggle
to select
Message
List
,
Reply
,
Show
,
Delete
or
Accept & Go
, then press
OK
.
Note:
The M-Nav stores up to 100 incoming messages.
