Dry ironing
Your iron can be used for dry ironing. Set the
variable steam switch
(1)
to ‘O’ and set the
temperature as desired (see ‘Temperature guide’
on page 3).
You won’t need water in the tank unless using
the water spray or steam boost features
.
Vertical steam
Vertical steam is useful for removing creases
from hanging clothes or curtains etc; Set the iron
to Max and hold the iron 1cm-2cm away from
the item and press the steam boost trigger
(3)
,
taking care not to let the hot soleplate contact
the item
.
Anti-drip system
This prevents water escaping from the soleplate
(9)
when the iron is too cold.
During use, the anti-drip system may emit a loud
click, particularly during heat-up or whilst cooling
down. This is perfectly normal and indicates that
the system is functioning correctly
.
Anti-scale system
This system reduces scale deposits and helps
prolong the life of the iron
.
Auto shut-off
If the iron is
stationary in the horizontal position
for 1 minute, or in the vertical position for 8
minutes
, it will automatically turn off for safety
and to save energy.
When auto shut-off is activated, the Auto shut-off
indicator
(5)
will flash (located in display in
electronic models).
Gently move the iron and it will reheat. Wait for
the iron to heat-up and continue ironing
