Important notes
A defective machine is not safe and could cause injury or fire. To
avoid damage and any associated risk of injury or fire:
Z Never allow the power cable to trail, as someone could trip
over the power cable and/or it could get damaged.
Z Protect your IMPRESSA from environmental influences such
as rain, frost and direct sunlight.
Z Do not put the IMPRESSA, cable or connections in water.
Z Never put the IMPRESSA or its components into the dish-
washer.
Z Turn your IMPRESSA off at the power switch before cleaning
the machine. Always wipe your IMPRESSA with a damp cloth
rather than a wet one, and protect it from prolonged water
splash.
Z Do not set up the IMPRESSA anywhere where a jet of water
may be used.
Z Only connect the machine to a power supply in accordance
with the information on the rating plate. The rating plate is
located on the rear of your IMPRESSA. Further technical data
is given in Chapter 10 ‘Technical Data’.
Z Use only original JURA care products. Use of accessories that
are not explicitly recommended by JURA could damage the
IMPRESSA.
Z Do not use any coffee beans treated with additives or carame-
lised coffee beans.
Z Only fill the water tank with fresh, cold water.
Z Switch the machine off at the power switch if you are absent
for long periods of time.
Using the CLARIS filter cartridge safely:
Z Keep the filter cartridges out of the reach of children.
Z Store the filter cartridges in a dry place in the sealed
package.
Z Protect the filter cartridges from heat and direct sunlight.
Z Never use any damaged filter cartridges.
Z Never open filter cartridges.
