4a. Selecting the type of signaling
Use the signal selector to choose whether
a doorbell or telephone ring is to be sig-
naled visually only, acoustically only or both
visually and acoustically. To do so, slide the
signal selector to one of the three following
settings:
- Selector at the top: visually only
- Selector in the middle: acoustically only
- Selector at the bottom: visually and
acoustically
4b. Selecting the melody
Use the melody selector to select one of the
four melodies available.
4c. Adjusting the volume
Use the volume control to adjust the volume
of the ring signal to one of five volume lev-
els.
4d. Adjusting the tone
Use the tone control to adjust the tone of the
ring signal to one of four levels between a
high-pitched and a low-pitched tone.
Note (special accessory)
A power cord available as a special acces-
sory can be plugged into the jack marked
“DC 9V” on the underside of the visuTone.
Maintenance and care
The unit does not require any maintenance.
If the unit does become dirty, simply wipe it
clean with a soft, damp cloth. Note: remove
the visuTone from mains socket!
Never use spirits, thinners or other organic
solvents. Do not set up the unit where it will
be exposed to full sunlight for long periods.
In addition, it must be protected against ex-
cessive heat, moisture and severe mechani-
cal shocks.
Note: This product is not protected against
splash water. Do not place any container s
filled with water, such as flower vases, or
anything with an open flame, such as a lit
candle, on or near the product.
Please make sure that the batteries are not
exposed to excessive heat from such as
sunlight, fire or anything similar.
Warranty
The unit is a very reliable product. Should
a malfunction occur despite the unit having
been set up and operated correctly, please
contact your dealer or the manufacturer di-
rectly. This warranty covers the repair of the
product and returning it to you free of charge.
It is essential that you send in the product in
its original packaging, so do not throw the
packaging away. The warranty does not ap-
ply to damage caused by incorrect handling
or attempts to repair the unit by people not
authorised to do so (destruction of the seal
on the unit). Repairs will only be carried out
under warranty if the completed warranty
card is returned accompanied by a copy of
the dealer’s invoice/till receipt.
