Switching the device on/off
Insert the batteries in the rails provided. Then insert the security key. Only then can you operate the
safety button and the on/off hadle. The device now turns on. When you
release the on/off handle, the device stops working. Attention: Cutting tools can still run on
minimally.
After the switching on , pull back On/Off switch towards the handle. Then pull the drive bail toward
the handle to engage the drive transmission
Removing and emptying the grass catcher
• If the grass catcher bag is full and should be emptied immediately.
• Switch the motor off.
• Wait until the cutter bar stops.
• Lift the discharge flap.
• Remove the grass catcher.
• Lower the discharge flap down again.
• Empty the grass catcher.
• Before hooking, remove any obstructions from the cutting area.
Working without the grass catcher
When working without the grass catcher, the mowed grass is ejected directly downwards.

A lawn consists of different types of grass. Frequent mowing promotes the growth of grass,
this leads to strong roots and a firm grass leaf. If you rarely cut the grass, strongly growing grass
species and other weeds (such as clover, daisies) will develop.
The average height of a lawn is about 4-5 cm. Only a third of the total height should be mowed;
therefore, cut 7-8 cm of grass to the average height.
