• The appliance must not be exposed to dripping or spray water.
• The melting pot and mains plug must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
Electrical shock hazard! Therefore, also do not use the appliance in the vicinity of
moisture sources, e.g. a sink.
• Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket, with voltage corresponding
to the Technical data.
• When using an adapter plug or extension cord, these must comply with the valid
safety regulations. The speci½ ed maximum voltage must not be exceeded.
• Ensure that the socket is well-accessible, so that you can remove the mains plug
quickly, if necessary.
• Do not use the appliance:
– if it is damaged,
– if the pot is extremely dirty,
– if the power cable or plug are damaged,
– if it has fallen.
• Unwind the power cable completely prior to use. In doing so, ensure that the power
cable is not trapped, squeezed or damaged by sharp edges or hot items.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the socket:
– if you are not using the appliance,
– after each use,
– before cleaning or putting the appliance away (allow to cool off completely),
– if an obvious fault occurs during operation,
– in a thunder storm.
Always pull on the plug, not on the cable.
• Do not carry out any modi½ cations to the appliance or its mains cable.
• Only allow repairs to be carried out on appliances by a professional workshop. Also
pay attention to the guarantee conditions.
• If the power cable of the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service or a professional workshop, in order to avoid
hazards.
• The appliance must not be connected to a time switch or other separate remote
activation system, such as a dimmer switch or a remote-control socket.

• The melting pot becomes hot during use. Do not touch it and allow it to cool off
completely prior to moving, cleaning or putting it away.
